Coaching Education: When do you teach kids to pass?

Mike Woitalla of Soccer America has a good article on when it is appropriate to teach young players to pass:

One of the biggest mistakes youth coaches can make is to force a passing game on children too early.

Discouraging dribbling in the early years is like telling toddlers to shut up when they're learning to speak. Young players should dribble as much as possible -- because dribbling is the first step to mastering all ball skills.

Kayla White (Rush U17N) and Beckey Gold (Rush U18N2) of Ocean Lakes HS and in the name game Alexandria Boubouheropolous (Rush U17N) and Izzy Shocket (Rush U18N) . Included the same section from the boys side Hector Arellano and Jordan Grumney (U18 Rush/Monaco AS USSDA) competing for Kellam HS.

Angie Giuffre's Blood Drive

Angie is a member of one of our U9 Advanced teams. She is recovering from Aplastic Anemia and will be hosting a blood drive

Angie Giuffre's Blood Drive is 3/17 Tuesday at Alanton Elementary from 8am - 2pm.

Angie is an active participant in RUSH, GNAA BB, Holy Family Church and many others.
